Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile complex medical insurance claims and patient invoices
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through effective communication with payers
- Maintain accurate billing records in Epic EHR and Meditech systems
- Perform month-end closing procedures and financial reporting
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure proper coding and documentation
- Analyze aging reports and implement collection strategies
- Stay updated on healthcare billing regulations (HIPAA, CMS guidelines)
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and Meditech billing systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial details
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
- Experience with RCM cycle and claim scrubbing tools
