Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes including invoice generation, submission, and tracking
- Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes with insurance companies and patients
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and other regulatory requirements
- Analyze aging reports and implement strategies to optimize cash flow
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify charge accuracy and documentation
- Prepare monthly billing reports and performance metrics for leadership
- Maintain organized electronic billing records and audit trails
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with insurance claim processing
- Proficiency in Epic, Athenahealth, or similar EHR billing systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot table experience
- Exceptional attention to detail with error detection abilities
- Strong communication skills for patient and insurer interactions
