Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers
- Resolve billing discrepancies through direct communication with patients and providers
- Generate and distribute invoices while maintaining accurate financial records
- Utilize Epic EHR and NextGen billing systems for charge entry and coding
- Conduct monthly account reconciliations and AR aging analysis
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing processes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with ICD-10/CPT coding
- Proficiency in medical billing software (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Associate degree in healthcare administration or related field
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) designation required
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot table experience
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities
