- Manage end-to-end billing cycles including invoice generation, payment posting, and account reconciliation
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies through insurance verification and patient communication
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and private payer regulations
- Generate monthly revenue reports and identify process improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document chargeable services accurately
- Oversee denial management and appeals processes
- Train staff on billing system updates and best practices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Healthcare Administration (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with EHR/EMR systems (Epic or Cerner)
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) credential
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and billing software (e.g., Medisoft, AdvancedMD)
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Proven track record of reducing denial rates by 20%+
