Responsibilities
- Process and verify patient and client invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Reconcile accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances to ensure timely collection.
- Respond to billing inquiries and resolve account discrepancies with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Utilize billing software and EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) to input data and generate financial reports.
- Monitor payment postings and identify trends in billing errors or delays.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and internal financial policies.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or medical billing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with medical billing software and EHR systems is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to detect and correct errors efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
