Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance payers with 95%+ accuracy
- Resolve billing denials and AR aging exceeding 60 days
- Conduct patient billing inquiries with empathy and precision
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing documentation
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify coding and documentation
- Generate monthly revenue cycle performance reports
- Train staff on billing software updates and best practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with Medicare/Medicaid
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10 coding and UB-04 forms
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- New Orleans residency preferred
