Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash deposits, withdrawals, and check cashing.
- Build lasting relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service and financial advice.
- Maintain a clean and organized teller line area, ensuring compliance with all security and safety regulations.
- Open new accounts and assist customers with account inquiries or issue resolution.
- Balance cash drawers daily and report any discrepancies immediately to the Branch Manager.
- Identify and cross-sell banking products and services to meet branch goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; prior banking or retail experience is a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse clientele.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and bank-specific software (e.g., FIS, Jack Henry).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Must pass a background check and obtain necessary banking certifications.
