Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately, including cash deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing.
- Verify customer identities and ensure strict compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
- Maintain accurate daily cash balances and reconcile terminal reports to detect and resolve discrepancies.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding account balances, products, services, and branch hours.
- Open new accounts and assist customers with account maintenance and form completion.
- Keep the teller line moving efficiently while maintaining a professional and welcoming demeanor.
- Assist in the promotion of bank products and cross-selling opportunities to meet branch goals.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; previous teller or cash handling experience is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers.
- Excellent mathematical skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with computer systems and POS (Point of Sale) terminals.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must successfully pass a background check and credit check.
