Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately handle cash deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments while adhering to banking regulations.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries about account products and services, and resolve issues professionally.
- Product Sales: Cross-sell bank products such as CDs, savings accounts, and credit cards to meet branch goals.
- Balance Verification: Perform end-of-day cash reconciliations and balance the teller drawer to ensure accuracy.
- Relationship Building: Build lasting relationships with local community members and business clients.
- Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to bank security policies and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance or Business preferred.
- Experience: Previous cash-handling experience in a retail or banking environment is strongly preferred.
- Skills: Strong math skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technology: Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications.
- Licensing: Must be able to obtain and maintain any required banking licenses or certifications.
