Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including cashing checks, processing deposits, and withdrawals.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to build lasting relationships.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and recommend bank products such as savings accounts, loans, and credit cards.
- Monitor daily cash limits and reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift to ensure accuracy.
- Assist customers with account inquiries, balance inquiries, and resolving transaction errors.
- Adhere to strict banking regulations and internal security protocols to prevent fraud.
- Maintain a clean and organized teller line area.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; prior banking or customer service experience is a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions with high accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Friendly, approachable demeanor with a customer-first mindset.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and credit check as per bank policy.
- Basic computer literacy and typing speed of at least 35 WPM.
