Job Overview:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in vendor payments, and maintaining proper documentation. This is a high-impact role that supports the entire finance department.
Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and authorization.
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Reconcile accounts payable statements and bank accounts monthly.
- Prepare and distribute monthly payment reports to management.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial records.
- Assist with month-end close procedures and general ledger support.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or General Ledger.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP) is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect errors quickly.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Ability to meet weekly deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
