Responsibilities
- Process and verify incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and authorization.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or billing errors.
- Prepare and issue payments via ACH, wire transfer, or check within established deadlines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the accounting system (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and generate financial reports.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments regarding payment status and invoices.
- File and organize physical or digital documents for audit purposes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of AP workflows, invoice coding, and reconciliation.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently during the night shift (e.g., 5:00 PM - 2:00 AM).
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
