Responsibilities
- Process Invoices: Accurately receive, verify, code, and pay vendor invoices within stipulated payment terms.
- Reconciliation: Monthly reconciliation of AP sub-ledger and bank statements to ensure all balances are correct.
- Vendor Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding billing inquiries and payment discrepancies.
- System Management: Maintain and update the accounts payable system (SAP/QuickBooks) with current vendor data and payment schedules.
- Expense Reporting: Assist in the timely processing of employee expense reports and reimbursements.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze AP reports to assist the Finance Manager with month-end close activities.
- Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred; high school diploma required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
- Organization: Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Communication: Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Charter Compliance: Must be eligible to work in the United States.
