Role Overview
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy in data entry, and maintaining positive relationships with vendors. We value candidates who are eager to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Invoice Processing: Accurately review, verify, and process incoming invoices for payment in a timely manner.
- Data Entry: Perform high-volume data entry tasks into accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) with a focus on accuracy and speed.
- Vendor Relations: Communicate with vendors to resolve billing discrepancies and answer questions regarding invoices.
- Reconciliation: Assist in the monthly reconciliation of accounts payable reports and bank statements.
- Reporting: Generate and distribute weekly or monthly payment reports to management.
- File Management: Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial records and contracts.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; entry-level candidates with relevant coursework or internship experience are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors and ensure data integrity in financial documents.
