Responsibilities
- Accounts Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation of bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports using Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Data Entry: Accurately input and update financial data, invoices, and expense reports into the company ERP system.
- Vendor Management: Process accounts payable invoices, verify coding, and communicate with vendors regarding billing inquiries.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized, up-to-date, and secure filing systems for all financial documents and records.
- Month-End Close: Support the month-end close process by gathering necessary documentation and assisting with variance analysis.
- General Ledger Support: Assist with posting journal entries and maintaining the general ledger as directed by the Senior Accountant.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting or a related financial role.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is critical) and have experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and discrepancies quickly.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and external vendors.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
