Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies found in accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and local tax compliance.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure adherence to internal controls and GAAP standards.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and budget support.
- Assist in the annual audit process and respond to external auditor inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Certification (CPA, CMA, or EA) is a plus but not mandatory for this position.
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
