Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Oversee payroll processing with our innovative weekly pay system for 150+ employees
- Conduct financial audits and implement internal controls to mitigate risks
- Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and forecast financial performance
- Utilize QuickBooks and SAP to maintain accurate financial records and generate reports
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel
- Demonstrated experience with multi-state payroll processing and tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder reporting and presentations
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls frameworks
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
