Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end closings
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy
- Process bi-weekly payroll with weekly disbursement option for team members
- Conduct account reconciliations and variance analysis for 15+ client portfolios
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks, Xero)
- Collaborate with tax preparers on quarterly filings and year-end audits
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic business decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience with QuickBooks proficiency
- Proven track record in full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
- Experience with payroll processing and disbursement systems
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Austin-based residency required (no remote candidates)
