Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a weekly basis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including P&L statements and balance sheets, for management review.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are supported by proper documentation.
- Assist with payroll processing for weekend staff and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Support the annual audit process by providing requested schedules and documentation.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to track financial data and generate necessary reports.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables, vlookups) and accounting software.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during weekend shifts.
