As a part-time Accountant on our weekend team, you will be the guardian of our financial data, ensuring that our books are up-to-date, accurate, and ready for the week ahead. Responsibilities
- Manage and process weekly payroll processing for all department employees with strict attention to detail.
- Conduct thorough bank reconciliations and review general ledger accounts for discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss reports.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual tax documents.
- Review and verify vendor invoices and expense reports to ensure compliance with company policy.
- Maintain accurate and organized filing systems for both physical and electronic records.
- Collaborate with the full-time finance team to ensure a seamless transition of financial data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in accounting or bookkeeping (required).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) as required.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
