Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and bank reconciliations
- Process payroll and tax filings with weekend-specific deadlines
- Implement and maintain internal controls for financial data integrity
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Utilize QuickBooks and ERP systems for real-time financial tracking
- Provide financial analysis support to senior management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Strong GAAP compliance knowledge and audit experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail with error prevention focus
- Valid Michigan accounting license or actively pursuing CPA
