Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage accounts payable and receivable cycles.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve internal processes and reporting systems.
- Process payroll and ensure all employee-related financial transactions are handled correctly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Proven proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial analysis principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
