As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in our day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while contributing to our strategic financial planning.
Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded timely and correctly.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve them efficiently.
- Compliance: Ensure the organization remains compliant with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve internal controls.
- Support: Assist in the annual audit process by providing requested documentation and explanations to external auditors.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team and management to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Experience: 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
