Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including processing accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, including supporting schedules.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Perform variance analysis to monitor budget vs. actual performance.
- Collaborate with the external audit team during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and filing systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 1-3 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Candidate status is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of tax laws, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
