Role Overview:
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations. This is an urgent hire, and we are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure all tax filings are completed on time.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process payroll accurately and ensure compliance with Oklahoma state regulations.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Perform general ledger functions, including journal entries and accruals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or currently pursuing licensure is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables required).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax compliance regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
