Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring 100% accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss reports.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure strict adherence to GAAP, federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews.
- Process Improvement: Streamline accounting workflows and implement best practices for financial efficiency.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and audit schedules.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot discrepancies and manage complex data sets.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
