Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, verify data, and ensure timely payments to vendors while monitoring incoming receivables.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliation of bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
- Payroll Support: Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure accurate time tracking and wage calculations.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Experience: 1-3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or high-volume environment.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel (Advanced functions), and accounting software.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors, analyze data, and ensure high-quality output.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and stakeholders.
- Certifications: CPA, CMA, or Enrolled Agent (EA) is a plus but not mandatory.
