Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time.
- Perform bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and improve financial controls.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end tax filings and audit schedules in coordination with external auditors.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes by gathering necessary data and preparing supporting schedules.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal control procedures.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality work standards.
