Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions.
- Prepare Financial Reports: Compile and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to provide actionable insights to management.
- Perform Reconciliations: Conduct bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations and GAAP standards to mitigate risk.
- Support Audits: Assist external and internal auditors by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on error prevention and data accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
