Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings and compliance reports.
- Perform internal audits and variance analysis to identify areas for cost reduction.
- Collaborate with department heads to budget and forecast financial performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations specific to Illinois.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
