Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring timely compliance.
- Process Improvement: Streamline accounting workflows and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Payroll Oversight: Monitor payroll processes to ensure accurate and timely employee compensation.
- Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
