Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist in the preparation of tax documents and support external auditors during annual reviews.
- Cost Accounting: Analyze spending patterns and assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not mandatory for immediate consideration.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in the service or hospitality sector common to New Orleans.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
