Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger activities and ensure accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for management review.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax filings and audits.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with department heads to forecast budgets and monitor financial performance against targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
