Job Overview:
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring strict compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. You will play a key role in our financial health and strategic planning.
Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger entries and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet).
- Reconcile bank accounts and prepare detailed monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation of corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve budgeting processes and financial forecasting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.
