Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss reports.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring all deductions and taxes are calculated correctly.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Auditing: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in financial processes and recommend solutions to management.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: 2+ years of professional accounting experience; familiarity with daily pay structures is a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software; advanced Excel skills required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP and tax regulations.
