Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate, complete, and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure tax compliance.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
