Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss reports, in compliance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and ensure strict adherence to federal and state regulations.
- Perform regular audits of financial records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Support the budgeting process by analyzing financial data and providing variance reports to management.
- Maintain and update the general ledger system, utilizing tools like QuickBooks or Sage as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.
