Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial operations: Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Reconciliation: Perform complex bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Compliance & Auditing: Assist in the preparation of tax returns and annual audits, maintaining strict adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Cost Management: Monitor budget variances and provide insights to management to optimize cash flow and reduce expenses.
- System Management: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to maintain accurate digital records and generate reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: 2+ years of professional accounting experience. Immediate hire candidates with relevant internship experience will also be considered.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions) and accounting software platforms.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
