Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns to ensure full compliance.
- Conduct internal audits and review financial records to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- Process payroll and expense reports accurately and ensure timely submission to management.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals during year-end reviews.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 2-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or public accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal control procedures.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines in a high-volume environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting financial data clearly.
