Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate financial recording for all transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure data integrity.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close process within strict deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Prepare and review tax documents and assist in external audits.
- Support budget preparation and variance analysis for department heads.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 2+ years of experience in a corporate accounting or bookkeeping role.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a significant plus.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders.
