What You Will Do
As our new Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial health and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external review.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, as well as year-end audits.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices with high efficiency.
- Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 1-3 years of professional accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not required.
