Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial entries.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Perform account reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and inter-company accounts.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Assist with external and internal audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines effectively.
