Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger accounting functions and oversee the month-end close process.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements for management review.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis for key departments.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal controls.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with a focus on timeliness and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the external audit team to provide necessary documentation and support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA certification or active pursuit is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume setting.
