Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire general ledger process, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly financial statements, including the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss (P&L) analysis.
- Conduct daily bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to ensure all accounts are balanced.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoicing and payment processing.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax filings and provide supporting documentation to external auditors.
- Monitor budget-to-actual variances and provide insights to management for decision-making.
- Maintain strict compliance with GAAP, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- CPA, CMA, or EA certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience (2-5 years) in general accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
