Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Support the external audit process and prepare necessary schedules and documentation.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) to maintain up-to-date records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 1-3 years of professional accounting experience (immediate hire consideration for top candidates).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate status is a plus.
