Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Accounts Management: Manage the general ledger, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded timely and accurately.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure the company's financial records are up-to-date and correct.
- Compliance & Tax: Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns; ensure all regulatory compliance requirements are met.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll and maintain accurate payroll records for all employees.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve internal controls.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Certification: CPA, CMA, or ACCA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience required.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage; strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are essential.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
