Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely posting of transactions.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoice verification and payment processing.
- Conduct internal audits and financial analyses to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and monitor the annual budget.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred or actively pursuing certification.
- 3+ years of experience in general accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
