Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Financial Operations: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational efficiency and implement best practices in accounting procedures.
- Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of GAAP and ensure all financial reporting adheres to internal controls.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of professional accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
- Certifications: CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
