Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations for bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
- Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis for department heads.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
