Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and KPI dashboards for executive leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX regulations, and internal financial controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting, expense analysis, and process optimization
- Lead accounts reconciliation for bank accounts, credit cards, and investment portfolios
- Support annual audits by providing documentation and coordinating with external auditors
- Implement and maintain accounting software systems with a focus on efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Proven track record of process improvement and deadline-driven project management
- Valid Washington State CPA license required
